About Us

Established in 1954, Lakeside Congregation for Reform Judaism is a vibrant, supportive community that embraces individual beliefs and customs and fosters personal and spiritual growth within the context of Reform Judaism.

Programming for all ages. We offer programs and activities for all ages from preschool through retirees, and everything in between including a Children’s Center, an experienced-based Religious and Hebrew School, a dynamic Adult Enrichment program, adult choir, a diversified music platform, and meaningful worship services in a variety of styles.

Interfaith is integral at Lakeside. Interfaith families have been a key part of Lakeside’s community throughout our history, and are active in our programs and many project leadership positions. Rabbi Serotta is an active interfaith ambassador, partnering with other clergy to build bridges across diverse faiths.

YOU are welcome here. We follow many paths to spiritual, educational and cultural Judaism. Lakeside members are an eclectic, but inclusive group of individuals. As demonstrated in our programming and in the philosophy of our clergy, we welcome interfaith relationships with open arms. We are receptive to differing views on Israel. We are open to the concerns of the LGBTIQ community. We care passionately about social justice. We take pride in our accredited Religious School and adult educational programming—offering a full range of lifetime learning opportunities. We weave a broad spectrum of Jewish music into our worship and celebrations, from traditional melodies led by our choir and piano, to historic melodies from centuries past, to more contemporary approaches typically led by guitar and experimental instrumental arrangements that recall Jewish camp experiences and broader global cultures.

Lakeside Congregation offers many paths to meaningful, accessible Reform Judaism. We invite unaffiliated people of all ages and backgrounds to spend some time with us to find out if Lakeside could be a comfortable home!
